Privacy Policy

PLCompliance is a service of Pickled Lemons LLC ("we," "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use plcompliance.pro, our client portal, and related services (including the free guest label check).
1. Information we collect
- Account and contact data — name, company name, email, phone, address, and login credentials for client portal users.
- Service data — product names, labels, formulations, documents, registration status, tonnage records, and related compliance files you upload or we maintain for you.
- Guest label check — email address, IP address, label type, optional label text used for the check, review results summary, and whether you requested email delivery or newsletter/alerts.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type, and basic logs for security, rate limits, and reliable operation. We may use Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection on public forms.
2. How we use information
- Provide registration, label, document, and portal services.
- Run automated label assists and send results when you request them.
- Operate security controls (authentication, rate limits, abuse prevention).
- Send service-related messages (account, password reset, project updates).
- Send newsletter or compliance alerts only if you opt in.
- Improve our tools and documentation.
3. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as needed with service providers that host the application or send email (for example, cloud hosting and transactional email), with state or federal agencies when you engage us to file or correspond on your behalf, and when required by law.
4. Retention
Client service records are kept for the duration of the engagement and as needed for legal or operational records. Guest label-check records are retained to enforce usage limits and operate the service. Marketing contacts are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
5. Security
We use HTTPS, access-controlled hosting, and environment-based secrets for API keys. No system is 100% secure. See our Security page.
